Redundant tag / category (same name)

Hi team,

Due to circumstances, we had to change one of our categories to a different name (Maximum instead of Max Verstappen).

We eventually reverted to Max Verstappen as the category. Which results in having a category page in the upper corner 'Max Verstappen' and a separate tag with the same name. These cannot be combined like two similar tags.

How would you advise on solving this? Any possibility to combine it without hurting our SEO? What if we change the category page name into 'Max Verstappen nieuws', while routing from the tag page to this category, and leave the 'Max Verstappen' as is?
